I was at Tuty’s looking at animations when i saw a particular one that resonated with me. It reminded me of when boys and girls would stand on opposite sides of the room, waiting for someone to ask them to dance. Heck, even in SL you can find that happening as well.
I’m not sure why it seems harder to make this blog post for this rez day. Maybe because for some reason, 7 years in SL is a huge deal for me. I think it’s because when you do something for 7 years, that means that you have put significant time and effort into it. I think the next major rez day will be 10 years in Second Life (if I make it that long).
I will say that I wonder how Sansar will impact my time in Second Life – I may not even want to stay in SL for whatever reason. There were people who were so gung ho about Sansar last year that it seemed like they were ready to leave SL right that instant. Also, there is real life to consider. I have seen plenty of times where changes to RL work, family, health etc. keeps people out of Second Life. I hope that I will always be able to make my own choices, and to leave SL on my terms if the day ever came to pass.

Hey guys! I know I have spoken to a few people about this already, but next month I will be teaching courses at Miss SL Academy! This is great for those who always wanted to learn how to model in Second Life, but wasn’t sure if it’s for them. Also, you will be able to learn (or improve on) a skill set that can be applied to every day Second Life. I will be holding sessions on August 4th and August 11th. Those are two Thursday dates. There are other days and times too , but you would need to check the calendar under Academy – > Schedule.

The second (and much longer) topic I would like to talk about is about Indie Teepee. One of my friends informed me that there was a discussion panel at Indie Teepee featuring Delicate Flower & Trouble Dethly on July 12th at noon SLT. I have had the pleasure of meeting Trouble before, and I have seen Delicate around the grid and on Plurk. So, I thought it would be interesting to head on over to see what was happening.
I was not sure on what Indie Teepee was about. We have so many events that come up, and we run to shop and purchase items. But many of us do not take the time as to why the event was created. I grabbed this from Scarlet Schadenfreude (evelynscarlet)’s picks, who is the Founder / Creative Director of Indie Teepee.
“Just as Second Life is a home to so many people from all walks of life, Indie Teepee aims to be the roof under which these same people may discover, enjoy and appreciate the diversity and creativity that could only previously be experienced in the real world.

According to the moderator, Chris (nathanaelwest), today we would hear from both
Trouble Memphis Dethly (trouble.dethly) and Delicate T. Flower (awylder1) on their day-to-day lives & motivations for their creative outlets. Trouble is the founder of Eclipse Magazine, and Del is the co-owner of Seraphim (Heidi Halberstadt is the other co-owner).
What I did was to attempt to summarize what was said (on voice) during the hour. I tried to keep it as accurate as possible.

Hey guys! This coming weekend is a great weekend, for we have the 4th of July (US), and Friday’s Canada Day! So there are lots of goodies around the grid.
Blacklace is having a 4th of July event with other stores on the sim. The carts are set up around the pavilion, located at the center of the sim. They have both discounted and exclusive items. The event is running from the 29th of June to the 5th of July.
Look at all of the goodies that Blacklace has to offer! ^^
