Hey guys! Last Saturday I was able to attend the Fantasy Angels live show, where the second round of auditions were taking place. I thought the last show was creative, but I must say that the models who made it through the first round truly stepped up their game at this show. They were so good that the Fantasy Angels team took on 5 Super Angels, and in addition, one model won an opportunity to be the lead model of their next advertisement campaign. You can read the details here.
I was fortunate to be able to get photos this time, because 10 minutes before the show started, I crashed. I hardly ever crash now with my current computer, so maybe it had a hard time computing all of the heavenly goodness at the event? Anyways…hope you enjoy my photos…and congrats to all of the models who were able to make it this far!
Hey guys! I haven’t been in the best of (creative) moods lately. But then I saw the group gift for Blacklace Lingerie, and it was like a switch flipped on: SEXY MODE! Blacklace has two sets of panties: Fancy Frill and Cheeky Frill. I am wearing the red Fancy Frill and the blue Cheeky Frill.
Hey guys! Yesterday I attended the Fantasy Angels Live Audition show. It started at around 2 PM SLT. There were a number of models at the audition – I think almost 40. Add that to the judges on both sides of the stage, and the audience, and you know that the sim was packed! ^^ I decided to take pictures again just for fun, so I will share them with you all. I think I pretty much took pictures of all of the models – I would be surprised if I missed anyone.
Since I am not about to put all of these photos on Flickr, what I think I will do is to link one higher res photo to there, and put all of the JPEG versions here in a slide show. Hey – it worked for the Aloha Fair, right?
Hey guys! Solaris Autumn/Winter 2015 (A/W ’15) Fashion week started on October 10th, and ends on the 18th. According to their website:
“This year, we reached out to a group of new and inspiring designers, along with our known fashion designers. And also, as this is our premier fashion week, we are making sure to offer shows when you want to see them, on the weekends ONLY. This season promises to offer something for everyone. Along with collaborative shows, we will be featuring several theme shows and a special show featuring designers participating in the Designers Showcase monthly event..”
I attended the theme show – Provoke: A Lingerie Fashion Show, which took place at 11 am SLT yesterday. The designers featured in the show were:
This is a complete directory of the stores participating in the fashion week. When you click the sign, it gives you a landmark to where you can buy the clothing featured at Solaris Fashion Week:
And now, on to the sexy lingerie! ^^ I tried to get at least one item by each designer, and at least one model. I will say it was harder to get in the photos because I’m used to the models being front and center; rather, they were alternating sides on the runway.
Only two weeks until Valentine’s Day – what are you going to get for that special day? Blacklace has part of the answer (at least for the ladies) – be a Sexy Little Cook and cook you and your lover a nice meal…
…or just order in? Anyways, regardless on what option you choose, there is always the next morning. This sexy little cook has her red apron, red oven mitt, and lots of cookies to tide anyone over. Yes, I said cookies, and it all comes with the satin and lace lingerie.
Hey guys! It’s time for another meme, brought to you by Strawberry Singh. This one is a cool SL Q&A meme, where I answer a bunch of questions about my SL 🙂
When and how did you discover Second Life? – I heard about SL in 2009 through a private forum for another game. We were talking about how the fashion in the game we were playing was lacking, and a number of people said SL fashion was much better.
Did you know about virtual worlds before or was this your first experience with them? – Kinda, but nothing like SL.
Has Second Life met your expectations? – Does anyone have expectations when coming to SL? That’s hard to answer, to be honest.
If you could teleport back to the first ten minutes of your avatar’s slife, what would you tell yourself? – Make an alt, look up blogs based on SL, and tell myself how to get out of Help Island lol.
How long did it take you to master avatar flying and driving vehicles inworld? – The only issue I had with flying was that I would sometimes get stuck in buildings due to lag. Road and water vehicles I think I have down; could use more work on air ones. How long? I am not too sure – wasn’t like that was a goal of mine or anything.
Do you have a mystery alt? – My close friends know of any alts that I have…assuming that I have any alts 😛
Is your SL avatar a reflection of you, or someone you wished you could be? – I feel like everyone’s avatar is a reflection of them to a degree, mine included. I wished I had some of the wardrobe my avatar has lol.
Is there an individual you met in SL that inspired you in your RL? How? I don’t think there is one person in particular who has inspired me in RL. But I do get inspired when I see people bring their SL creations and skills into real life. A magazine publication, a jewelry business, a new job based on SL designs, etc.
Do you feel it is easier to create stronger bonds/relationships with people you meet inworld as opposed to the real world? – I feel inworld you have the opportunity to get to know a person from the inside out, which is a good thing. This is why I don’t believe in too much RL stuff the first time I meet someone – why should someone know my real name, see a picture of me, or hear my voice? I can do that in real life lol. I feel like it can be easier to create such bonds, but it is also just as easy to be lulled into thinking that you have a strong relationship when it only appears that way.
Did you ever imagine or believe people could fall in love with someone they never met before Second Life? – Yes – I have seen it happen.
How has your perspective of dating changed (or not) since you started playing second life? –I feel like if you really want a partner though, you will find someone. They may not be the right person long term but you can find someone for right now. I have had online relationships before, but it seems like SL is the hardest for me to find someone. I think it’s because there are so many things to do in SL, dating is not necessarily a priority, and I haven’t found anyone who shares similar interests with me.
How has your perspective of employment changed (or not) since you started playing second life? – I think it’s great that people can actually make a living from things that they create virtually. It’s empowering that you can literally take matters into your own hands and make something happen. I have tried to do that in RL and it’s not as easy as some people make it out to be.
Name three things in both your lives that overlap each other significantly. – Creativity, loyalty, and staying true to oneself.
If you could live your life more immersively in a virtual world, would you? (Kind of like the Matrix) – On one hand, I think it would be great for education. In the Matrix, Neo spent hours learning how to fight in several fighting styles. On the other hand, if you spend all your time plugged in, what happens to RL social interaction?
How do you think behavior changes for people if they’re inworld vs in real world? Why do you think that is? – Eh. People grow virtual balls and have a tendency to say things inworld and on social media that they would be hard pressed to say in real life. I dislike hypocrites, cowards, and bullies, and there seem to be too many around for my liking. It’s like…why choose to be mean to others –are you hurting that badly in real life?
How has second life consumerism changed your perception of spending habits, the value of money, the need to be “bleeding edge” with fashion? – My spending habits are pretty reasonable, similar to real life. I try to get stuff that will last and add to my wardrobe, without breaking my bank. Sure I get fun, trendy things too but I don’t want too much clutter. I try to earn enough money in SL to cover tier so if I want to spend RL money for shopping, I can. Earning enough to cover all of my inworld expenses is a goal of mine.
Do you think virtual worlds like SL drive and redefine human interaction or do they narrow and limit it? – I think they can do both, if that is what you are looking for. You can easily find a bunch of people who think the way you do, and get stuck. Or, you can choose to expand your horizons and grow as a person.
If technology progressed tomorrow to allow you to send emotions to people the way you’d send text or voice messages, would it enrich your SL experience or infringe on it? – I’m going to be pessimistic and say it will probably infringe more than enrich. I can see a lot of anger projection or unwanted advances.
Name three skills you attribute to having learned or honed in second life alone. Blogging, Photoshop, and business management.
If your grand kids googled your Second Life Avatar’s name, would they be intrigued, disgusted, proud or something else? – Not too sure – maybe intrigued?
