Jali is a couture ensemble inspired by the work of Chinese designer Guo Pei. Besides designing for Chinese celebrities, Pei is probably best known for designing the dress that Rihanna wore for the 2015 Met Gala. I’m not sure why it seems harder to make this blog post for this rez day. Maybe because for some reason, 7 years in SL is a huge deal for me. I think it’s because when you do something for 7 years, that means that you have put significant time and effort into it. I think the next major rez day will be 10 years in Second Life (if I make it that long).
I will say that I wonder how Sansar will impact my time in Second Life – I may not even want to stay in SL for whatever reason. There were people who were so gung ho about Sansar last year that it seemed like they were ready to leave SL right that instant. Also, there is real life to consider. I have seen plenty of times where changes to RL work, family, health etc. keeps people out of Second Life. I hope that I will always be able to make my own choices, and to leave SL on my terms if the day ever came to pass.
The Scare Me Silly event is coming to an end soon! It started on October 13th, and will end on the 31st. With over 40 participating merchants, Scare Me Silly features shopping, trick or treating, a pumpkin hunt, and performances from SL artists. Scare Me Silly supports the Team Diabetes of Second Life, which is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The goal of Team Diabetes SL is to raise awareness and funds in support of diabetes. If you are unable to attend the event inworld, you can always choose to donate via the official team page.
