Hey guys! Just in case you forgot, the Black Fashion Fair ends on May 1st. So if you haven’t gotten all of the things from there, get it soon! For instance, this little number from Blacklace called Promiscuous ^^

I just have the Slink feet appliers on, and no mesh body since I don’t have Slink nor Wowmeh. The bra part is see through – I just blurred it a bit to make it more PG friendly 🙂

Spring Sales in Second Life

I’ve been making my rounds in SL since I’ve returned. One thing that I have noticed that there are a lot of sales happening on the grid right now. You may want to check on Seraphim to see how many there are, but I will mention a few here to start things off.

I first checked out the sales at Glam Affair and Tableau Vivant. This is the notecard that was sent out:

There is a huge sale happening at Glam Affair and Tableau Vivant! Sale will start at 9am SLT today and end at 9am SL on April 27th.
Almost everything is on sale for 50% off. The only exceptions are Accessories, Gachas, Appliers and the latest Glam Affair release, Katra. Also not on sale are releases currently at any events or specialty release at Maitreya or Lelutka.
The sale is limited to items at Mainstore location.
After the sale, Tableau Vivant will be removing older hair styles from the store and placing them for sale only on Marketplace.
Glam Affair will also be removing the following skins and placing them on MP once the sale is over. The skins retiring from the store are; Amberly, Kaelyn, Lucy, Vera and Zara.
Do not miss out on this sale as it might be a long time before we have another!

So in case you missed that, GA/TV sale ends on April 27th.

The next place I went to was ploom. Today is the last day I believe for the sale (hey, I just found out myself :P)

Coming Home

Hey guys! As I said in my previous post, I am happy to be back in Second Life, and blogging too ^^ It took a lot for me to be able to get back online, and I think I may talk about my experience with getting a custom built computer in another blog post. To be honest, it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be.

The last time I was away from Second Life for ~ 2 months, I came back homeless (twice over), my best friend at the time had moved in on her girlfriend’s sim and wasn’t overly concerned about my well-being even though she lived with me before, and I lost a number of “friends”. To people who delete just because you haven’t seen them online in a while (and don’t ask about their well-being), you’re not really a friend. This time however, my close friend and roommate not only kept our residence and my photo studio afloat, she even helped at the rental place where I work. Thanks, Bunny! 🙂 Another notable good friend is Khitt– I liked how she would send me tidbits of information from time to time to keep me in the loop of things. Thanks, Khitt!

Whenever people leave SL for a time, I think to a degree everyone wonders about the following:

1. How much has SL changed since the last time I’ve been here?
2. Are my friends still my friends, and are they around?
3. Did my favorite store/club/sim close?
4. Do I need a new wardrobe?
5. How long will it take me to get back into the swing of things?
6. Is SL worth staying around, or am I good without it?

Even in real life, when we leave our hometown for a time and then come back, we notice all of the changes that took place. Certain streets look completely different because most of the old stores closed and changed into something different. The neighborhood’s demographics may have changed, which also influences what kind of businesses open. Do the changes make you miss the neighborhood, or do you just miss what it used to be and you are ready to move on?

I still have a bit of adjustment to do, so enjoy and stay tuned! ^^

21 Shoe Event – April Round

Hello everyone, and welcome to this round of 21 Shoe! It feels good to be back, but I think I will need to take this new computer back to the shop for them to look at it. It keeps restarting at random, and I can’t identify the cause of it

What has changed since the last round that I covered? There is a group fee of 150 L, which I find odd. I mean sure, it’s great that we can gain access to get great deals on shoes, but items only come out once a month. It’s rough to hold on to a group for 27-30 days with no activity. However, I hear we are going to have a gift in a few days so maybe there will be incentives for people to stay in the group? I will keep you posted.

I see that there is a good variety of shoes for the various brands of mesh bodies – Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, and even The Mesh Project. I love the pastel colors for the spring season as well. Remember that these shoes (at this price) is only available for one day only! Some shoes may not be available after today, so keep an eye out for shoes that say “exclusive” ^^
