Hey guys! I just wanted to make a quick post to wish all of my readers a very Merry Christmas – I hope you all had fun today 🙂 There are a number of holidays this time of year, so I never understood why some get offended if one decides to say “Happy Holidays!” instead. It’s all meant to wish people well, so let’s all just have fun!
Aleutia brings together sexy and sweet at the latest round of the Color Me project. The Dulce dress suits anyone who wants to look cute, yet a touch of sexy sweetness.
Hey guys! Have you been to the Color Me Project yet? You only have a few days until the current round is over on September 3rd. The theme celebrates all of the colors of Jamaica, and Aleutia does an excellent job on conveying the vibrant and bold color schemes.
Dress: [Aleutia] Bandu (Midori on the Rocks) (@ CMP)
Hair: Tableau Vivant \\ Sari hair Browns (@ C88)
Skin: -Glam Affair – Luna skin – Jamaica
Shoes: N-core STILETTO “Gradient”
Location: Field of Dreams
The Bandu dress comes in 10 different colors, with names such as Ocho Rios and Limoncello. I have on Midori on the Rocks, which sports a cool green and black theme. I added some shoes from N-Core that are duo-toned in yellow and black to go with the vibe. Now all I need is an actual Midori and I will be all set ^^
Hey guys! I just wanted to let you all know that there will be office hours today (Sunday) from 1 PM – 5 PM SLT. I have been talking with Poly (polynesia), and she offered to be available as well. So we look forward to seeing you!
If you would like to know how you can get involved, read on!
Hey guys! This coming weekend is a great weekend, for we have the 4th of July (US), and Friday’s Canada Day! So there are lots of goodies around the grid.
Blacklace is having a 4th of July event with other stores on the sim. The carts are set up around the pavilion, located at the center of the sim. They have both discounted and exclusive items. The event is running from the 29th of June to the 5th of July.
Look at all of the goodies that Blacklace has to offer! ^^
Now the major question is; what would you do?
Change your personality to become friends or seek people more open to accept you the way you are?
Now, this reminds me of a RP post I did a while back (before I came to SL) entitled “Are Perceptions Reality?” And the take home message was yes, it can be. If people perceive you a certain way, it can significantly affect you and your lifestyle.
On Sunday, I had the opportunity to see the owner of LaVian, Samantha S Jones, speak at the SL13B Auditorium with the hostess Saffia Widdershins. It was interesting to learn that Samantha went from participating in culinary arts in real life to becoming a designer on a virtual platform. My friend Khitt also was in attendance, and we both enjoyed the opportunity to hear from a prominent SL designer. The audience was even treated with a mini fashion show, and a gift bag of items from the Spring 2016 collection.
What was coincidental about this was that two weeks ago, Khitt and I had taken pictures with us wearing LaVian dresses. Since I am slow, it took me a while to edit the photo. But now I see I was just waiting for the right opportunity ^^
I’ve been a bit preoccupied lately. I had the opportunity to help with the Miss Teen Avi Pageant this month – both as a judge and a backstage manager for the final show. It was a wonderful experience for me. I was able to meet the lovely young ladies that were in the pageant, and gained some knowledge about what goes on behind the scenes.
Have you been to the Hipster Fair yet? If not, today would be a great day to visit – take advantage of the extra day we have today, and do some shopping! Ghee has a nice range of hipster and indie styled clothing for under 200L at the fair. So if you are looking to add some pizzazz to your wardrobe, you can accomplish this with a pair of boots, a colorful scarf, or patterned pants.
I am wearing the Carrie crochet tunic, which is exclusive to the Hipster Fair, and only 75L! I paired the Etta gray boots and gray Hipster scarf to go with it.
“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” – Henry David Thoreau
I think reading Walden was one of my favorite works of literature in college. The first time I was introduced to it, I felt peaceful as Thoreau took us “back to basics”, or rather, “back to nature”. Also, he encourages us to be self-reliant and to look beyond what we can physically see. I think part of the reason we do not accomplish what we would like to achieve is because we listen to the wrong people. Too many people are pessimistic and “dream-snatchers”, and if one is dependent on the approval of others, he or she will be easily led astray.
This latest release from Ghee (currently at The Instruments) has inspired me to go back to nature as well. I am wearing both “Plum” and “Fall” dresses. I especially loved the color combinations of the Plum dress – electrifying yet mesmerizing.
