Ghee on the runway for Ferosh Fashion Weekend

Hey guys! As you know, Ferosh had their Spring/Summer fashion weekend from June 24th – 26th.  If you guys did not get a chance to see Ghee fashion out on the runway, I was able to take some photos so you can see what the new season line looks like before you go to purchase. But before I do that, I would like to show you the new group gift that is out now at Ghee.

Ghee June VIP Gift

This is a VIP group gift. The group is 250 L to join, but you get access to the last several group gifts ^^

Hot and humid days can be fun

Have you ever been outside when it’s hot and humid outside? It can be pretty down right disgusting – you can cut the humidity with a knife sometimes. And I have noticed for the past several years, places of business have cut down on the amount of air conditioning that they use. Even on mass transportation they have cut down, which to me is not a good idea when hundreds of people use it daily.

I decided to head down to Ghee because they have a new VIP gift out. Since it was nice (and humid) outside, I decided to take a picture near the fountain that is located near the store. Then, I felt some wetness on my arm. Don’t tell me it’s about to rain….and I don’t have an umbrella 😦
The rain did provide some relief to the heat, but I still wasn’t satisfied. Figuring that I would be wet anyway, I decided to stick arms and face into the water. Don’t worry about me – Bea and Warm assured me that the water is clean…I won’t drink from it just in case *winks*

Ghee has a few older group gifts at the store. Last time they had a group gift, I wore this lovely dress out to the beach. So you may want to stop by just in case you missed out on some of the gifts ^^

Free Gifts this Weekend

Hey guys! I wanted to let you know of some goodies that I found around the grid this weekend in Second Life. I don’t know who can pass up a free gift – can you?

Bubbles released this lovely hair to group members this weekend – both subscriber and inworld group. I like the soft pink color – it’s not like neon pink that’s in your face. I got my necklace at We ❤ Roleplay for only 10L.

Zerkalo Group Gifts - Second Life

I found out about zerkalo both from this month’s Shiny Shabby and from this month’s issue of We Love to Decorate.  The store has 3 group gifts currently in their store. This will definitely help you furnish your place if you need that something extra.

Besom - Soonsiki - Group Gift - Second Life

I think everyone has head of the famous 50L sale at Soonsiki, soon to be Besom. But did you know there was a current group gift as well? I still have to get more hairs from the sale…

Pink Acid - groupt gift - lips - second life

I already have this one, but just in case you didn’t know, Pink acid has free lipstick at their store.

That’s all the things that I saw in my adventures on the grid, but I will let you know if I find more goodies ^^

Carmen’s Escape

carmen_003Carmen’s Escape – taken at The Rose Theatre and Art Gallery

Hey guys! Belle from Chop Zuey came out with a terrific group gift, so I wanted to share it with you all.  As some of you may know, recently Chop Zuey opened up their sky boutique at the Chop Zuey sim, with a nice variety of dresses. When I went to visit, my reaction was, “How does she do it?”  I won’t show you any photos of the build – you will just have to go see for yourselves 😉

Carmen’s Escape in Ocean is the current group gift at Chop Zuey. I’m happy because blue is my favorite color, and how many stores do you know give out fabulous clothes AND matching jewelry? Carmen’s Escape comes with the dress, gloves, fascinator, jeweled belt, necklace, and earrings. The glove details are excellent – both jewels and feathers make up the gloves. The accessories would look great in a mix-and-match with other outfits.

Until next time – happy shopping!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have not blogged in a bit, but things were busy, both in SL and in RL. Why so serious in that photo? I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, as well as making changes in how I want to participate in Second Life…

1. Last month I moved in SL – still living on the beach of course, but I’m in a much better environment. When i first got my own place, I wanted to have parties and have a great time. This year I will keep a healthy balance between work and fun.  I’ll talk about my adventures in  furniture shopping for the place on another post.

2.  I was a model in the Voluptia Lingerie fashion show, which was my first show in over a year. It really felt like 2 shows since we prepared for another show with a different sponsor, but the show was canceled. The experience was a refresher in runway modeling, and it has encouraged me to continuing pursing my goals for modeling.

3.   Over the summer I became marketing chair with a company that specializes in marketing innovative products that help business owners.  We have several things planned for this year and can’t wait for them to take place. However, this year I will take the time to work on my own projects. Helping people to make their own dreams come true is great, but it’s a different feeling when you are in the driver’s seat so to speak.

4. Blogging! WordPress has a cool end of the year report about your blog. Here is an excerpt of what it says:

“600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 4,800 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 8 years to get that many views.

In 2012, there were 80 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 126 posts. There were 350 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 121 MB. That’s about 7 pictures per week.”

I am proud of my progress so far with blogging. One of my goals is to be more consistent in posting. It’s pretty obvious that the more content you have, the more visits you will get. I am really happy with the way my photos have been coming along.  However it can be a bit discouraging because it seems like if you don’t have the ability to enable shadows in SL, people won’t see your photos as being any good.

5. My inventory desperately needs to be cleaned out.  At 52, 346 items, I feel that is too much. My goal is to get between 30k – 31k items by going though everything and deleting old stuff. Also, by boxing up/deleting mesh sizes that I don’t need (XXS, L) I can get rid of stuff I don’t need as well.

I think this is all for now – a lot of things to think about and work on indeed. Until next time!

New group gifts @ Maitreya

Hello guys! I heard that Maitreya had some nice group gifts and discounts for their members, so I decided to stop by to see what they were!

The first thing that I saw was this lovely mesh pencil skirt. Form-fitting garments look really good in mesh, and this skirt is no exception.

Maitreya also has free mesh lashes. This is the first time that I am wearing mesh lashes, and like other people have said, they seem easier to adjust than prim lashes. I was a bit wary of purchasing them, but now that I see how these are, I won’t hesitate next time I see a pair that I like. The only thing that I noticed is that mesh lashes are kinda tricky to grab when editing. I kept getting my hair for some reason, despite the fact that this hairstyle is pretty much out of my face.

I didn’t open this package yet, because I am not sure what I will wear with them. But aren’t these boots goregous? I believe they are 225L now in this color only. Make sure you wear your group tag!

Until next time – happy shopping!

Cleaning out my closet, part 4

Last time I did a post with this, I had 44k worth of items in my inventory – now it’s up to just over 49k 😦 It feels like I haven’t blogged in like forever, but after last month’s heavy schedule of covering events I decided to take it easy for a few.

Ever had a moment where you didn’t know what the heck to wear, so you start randomly trying on things in your inventory? I had that moment the other day, so after seeing what I had in my inventory, I came up with this:

It started with the pants – I don’t think I have ever worn these pants before…at least not that I remember. Then I started looking for a nice top to go with it – and I decided to wear the top part of a dress. The rest of the outfit quickly came together after that.

I’m not sure whether the main parts of the outfit is still available – I went to LG to see if they had these pants, and although I found similar stuff, I didn’t find the Boudoire type pants. Meghindo’s is a huge store, so I didn’t check to see if the dress was still around. I think this was from an old group gift…hmm.

New Release at Hucci – Gila Dress

Eboni Khan of Hucci Fashion recently came out with a number of new goodies, and the Gila dress is one of them. It always amazes me how realistically lush mesh looks like on you, and this dress is no exception.

Finding your desired size in mesh seems to be a challenge for a significant amount of Second Life residents. The Gila dress has the Standard Sizes small and medium, a modified medium accounting for large chested avatars, and Hucci sizes of curvy and  small chested curvy. I was able to wear the SS small size with a tweak to my chest size, so it wasn’t a huge adjustment.

The dress that I am wearing is the Fantasy group gift that was sent out to current subscribers.  I strongly recommend that you sign up so you can receive the latest info for new releases (and maybe a gift if you are lucky).
