I saw a post that The Fashion Zone was having a party on July 11th. I had already gone to a fashion show, so I wanted to get dressed up for this event. Sadly as I landed at the sim and about to go up to where everyone was, I had to leave. I did like what I had on, so I decided to share it with you guys 🙂
I picked Ginger Spice because I wanted to play with the red hair, and Ginger’s clothing always seemed kinda fun to style a look. I know she is famous for the Union Jack dress, but I felt that was too obvious of a look for her. Plus, I wanted something more my style.
How do I like my GENUS head so far? I like it for the most part. I do think that this is an “older” look for me, so whereas before I felt I could dress up/dress down my looks, so far it seems like every look is a “serious” look. Not sure if I want to look like that all of the time.
In my travels for makeup, I have been liking makeup from Velour. I feel like the lip shape goes well with my lips, and I can easily tweak the intensity of color using the HUD. I bought a couple of shades from Studio Exposure, even though they do not have much from Genus. I do like makeup from IDTTY FACES and LUXREBEL, but I feel like I have to demo every shade to see if it looks right. I don’t get the same vibe from Velour.
Some of my Catwa favorites do not seem to translate over to Genus. I love Pink Fuel lipsticks for Catwa, but I found myself putting the lipsticks back for Genus. I have not tried Euphoric yet.
Am I going to give up Catwa? Noooo…but I think it’s time to experiment with my looks across the major brands. It will make me more versatile as a shopper, blogger, and model to be knowledgeable of the major mesh head stores in SL.
