Yup, this is me! For those who know me and/or follow my blog, I know what you’re thinking already. Yes, this is a new skin AND a different head than Catwa. I finally put the free head that Genus gave everyone to good use. And why not, since they are now back in Second Life? AND I think this head is available at their store (according to what Discord says). I will talk more about that in another blog post.
**Update** It looks like whoever filed a DMCA on Genus did it again, so now the store is in the process of closing down everything AGAIN…ugh. If I had to guess, it may have to do something with the split when they went from Genesis to Genus. But that’s just me speculating.
What’s your name?
My name is Monica Querrien, but my friends call me Moni.
What do you like to do in Second Life?
I love Second Life fashion. So I participate in as many aspects of it as I can – shopping, blogging, modeling, sometimes even creating. I even run a fashion group dedicated to promoting and creating fashion-based events.
I like driving cars, going to service-based places like restaurants (or else I will just buy a ton of food to put in my kitchen at home lol), and taking care of my cats (I think I have 10 now at home…)
What made you want to do this challenge?
I think that bloggers need more activities that demonstrate solidarity within our community. I think in the past years, we have been too isolated and obsessed with getting blog posts done. It’s hard to allow your creativity to grow and think out of the box if the items you are blogging are pee-determined. I believe bloggers should come up with a topic or a theme for a blog post (which this challenge does for you already), think about how that topic relates to them personally, and then find the right items to feature in your post.
What else would you like to share with us?
Even though I have been in Second Life for over 10 years, I feel that there is a lot let that I could be doing to nurture my creativity. I would like this challenge to help me do that, and I hope it will do the same for everyone who chooses to participate.
