52 Weeks of Color Challenge – Patina

Week Five: Patina

Welcome to Week 5 of the 52 Weeks of Color challenge! Are you ready to see my interpretation of Patina? Me too! ^^ But what the heck is patina, anyway?

Have you ever seen a greenish penny? Or the Statute of Liberty, perhaps?  The green is actually the physical evidence of a metal oxidizing when it has been exposed for a long period of time to the environment. I learned at Wikipedia that this is a good thing because it prevents the metal from further corroding, preserving the metal.

Anyways…

Patina was harder than what I thought it would be. When I was shopping, I would many times see a blue and a green color, and I wished I could just mesh the 2 together and get patina – lol. But finally I settled on this Pietra bodysuit from R.icielli. The jeweled accents on the shoulder area really make this bodysuit special.

This week at The Dressing Room, Glam Affair has a skin called Linn in a light tone – Primavera. When I tried it on, I was very pleased at how it looked, despite the fact I don’t wear light skins for my everyday wear. So if you like how it looks too – head down there! Nothing at TDR costs more than 70L, so you will get tons of quality at a low price.

RezIpsa Loc has these Patina heart stockings on sale, so I decided to get them to wear with my bodysuit. I chose Akasha to take this set of photos because it felt secluded and a bit of mystery to it. The area with the pillars were great to take photos because depending on what angle I shot from, the sky had a warm glow or bright surroundings.

Hmm…I know people like to list names of places that they visited, and poses that they use. It’s hard for me to name poses because I flip through them quickly, and then to look at which pose I have in particular sort of disrupts my flow. As for not listing the places I go to take pictures, I’m just lazy ^^ But let’s see…for the first photo I used a Glitterati Beauty head shot pose. When I went to Akasha, I believe my poses were all from Olive Juice (why are they closing ;( ).
