Hey guys – I’m back! After a well-deserved break (real life kinda forced me to), I’m up and running again. I thought this would be a nice treat for you all…after all, we need somewhere to go after we’ve shopped for all of the things, right?

I was fortunate enough to be given early access to the new GOL build, so that I may blog about it and share it with you all. Here is some information on the big day:

“The famed GOL club series will christen its newest member, the 9th on Friday, May 24, 2013. Dakota Neumann, the creator and founder of GOL is proud to share his latest creation with the world. Since June of 2006, GOL has been the long established KING of the house music scene in Second Life. “

The first thing that caught my attention as I walked inside the club was the photos on the walls – seductive, but not over-the top. There is a good distance from the landing point to the dance floor – hopefully that will help with lag and rezzing as people come arrive.

Fantasy Faire 2013 – Part 3

Have you been to the Fantasy Faire yet? If not, you still have some time. So far, the Faire has raised over L$6.1 million. That’s over $24,000! On that happy note, Ill show you some more things…just in case you missed them on your travels. Aikea Rieko from [The Plastik.] has a ton of items at Fantasy Faire. Because there are a lot of quality items that I don’t want you to miss, I will show some of the items, and then direct you to other blogs where they covered other parts.

Anjuna Draziira Skin with the Astral Vandariel armor, taken at  Elven Forest

There are 10 different color variations to the Draziira skins. I have on the Anjuna in the photo, and then you have Elora, Golden,Heat,Inferno, Obsidian,Oceana,Purple, Silver, and Toxic. Draziira has both men and women skin versions. You can check out RORS’ blog to see a peak at the male skin here, and Kismet did a good job in showing the 10 color variations here.

 

In the above photos, you see how the body looks like normally, with suns, and with dots. The Draziira skins have a variety of makeups, demon fades, and tattoos.

The above shows some of the varieties of the face tattoos, which are similar to that of the body. Natsumi shows the demon fades here. I really like the blueish looking one shown in the photo. The one that came with Anjuna is a blueish-gray fade – looks as if the hand and arm was frozen and/or could withstand sub-zero temperatures.

The above photos show the different eyes that come with each skin: Anjuna Glow eyes, Frost, SheThing, Sickness, Vaele Coll(Glaze), Bloodless (in gold and silver), and from the OniCollection: Cumulus Grey, Magicka Blue, and Underworld Blue.

I’ve mentioned the Vandariel armor before, and that I was wearing the Astral variety. Brandi shows a variety of the armor in her post here, and you can see how you can match the armor to the skin variations. Tannypo goes into great detail to show you all the different variations of the armor here, and as mentioned in both posts, there are HUDs to change the color of the skirt as well as the gems on the armor.

For all of you mermaids out there, The Plastik also has the Arkasia mermaid skins. RORS did great coverage on the skins here.

Fantasy Faire 2013 – Part 2

Hey guys! Today I have some more goodies for you that can be found at the Fantasy Faire. Introducing to you all is Zahrah in Violet from Roawenwood, created by Searlait Nitschke. Roawenwood specializes in fantasy furniture, landscaping, clothing, and role-play accessories.The violet color is an exclusive for Relay for Life, so make sure you don’t miss out when you visit the Faire

Fantasy Faire 2013 – Second Life

Hey everyone! The Fantasy Faire is here, so get ready for a spectacular magical event in Second Life! Last year, I had fun visiting the sims, as well as blogging the event. It is a pleasure to show you all a preview of what the talented designers came up with this year to help fundraise for Relay for Life and the fight against cancer.

For those who are not familiar with Fantasy Faire, here is an excerpt from the official website:

“Celebrating its fifth year, Fantasy Faire 2013 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world. From Saturday April 20 to Sunday April 28, treat yourself to nine days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts and roleplaying as thousands of Second Life residents and creators come together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.”

The first item I have for you all are the Bottle Shard Necklaces from [ni.Ju], by Vitani Jun. [ni.Ju] specializes in accessories, piercings, and make-up or tattoos that are commonly influenced by fantasy, gothic lolita, androgyny, and bright colors.

[ni.Ju] has other colors, also available at Fantasy Faire. There are necklaces for men and women separately, although I could see myself wearing the men’s necklace if I needed it in a larger size.

Pink Fuel @ Skin Fair 2013

Hey guys! Today I will show you the Alyx skin from Pink Fuel, by Mochi Milena. There is a huge fatpack out at Skin Fair that has all of the makeups for each tone. From what I remember, you usually can only get two eyeshadow colors + the lipsticks. So this is really a great deal. I still wear the lipsticks from the Elly skin (just search my blog!).

Alyx comes in 3 eyebrow colors: light brows, red, auburn, dark brows, and a no brows option. There are 10 skin tones in all – I am wearing the Latte tone in my photos. To see the complete lineup, you can look at Mochi’s flickr here.

SHINE @ Skin Fair 2013

Hey guys! This is the next installment of my coverage of the Skin Fair 2013. I have a nice skin called Anela to show you all from SHINE Skins & Fashion, by Love Foxdale.

Anela comes in 1 natural, 1 smokey eyes,  and 3 color makeups – magenta, pink,  and red. It also has a shape, but in these photos I used my own shape. One of the things that I look for in skin is whether or not it can work with my shape. If I have to tweak it significantly, I won’t get it. So that’s why I wanted to show you that you can indeed wear this skin with different shapes.

Anela in UltraPale, Pale, Tan, & UltraTan

As shown above, Anela comes in 4 skin tones. I liked the freckles and teeth on the tattoo layer (shown previously). I think it gives a more youthful appearance. I hope in the future the makeup will come separately on tattoo layers as well – I think it would be cool to mix and match various eyeshadows and lipsticks to make new shades.

Anela also has an option for cleavage on both tattoo and undershirt layers.

Oceane @ Skin Fair 2013

Hey guys! Have you been to the Skin Fair yet? If not, don’t worry – you still have over 2 weeks to go The Skin fair 2013 starts today, March 15th, and runs until March 31st.  There are over 80 designers spread out over 2 sims, but even with two sims there will be quite a bit of lag due to all of the traffic. So make sure you keep your script count low! A map of the event is here below:

I will be showing you some skins that will be at the fair, so at least you will know what to expect. I believe the inworld group for the Skin Fair may have demos as well, but don’t quote me on that because I don’t have room to join…you would think 42 groups would be enough, right? Okay, on to the skins ^^

The first set of skins, Dee natural skins, are from Oceane Body Design by Oceane Grumiaux. There are 5 shades of tan color, with 4 eyebrow colors of blonde, red, brunette, and black. The darker tans will be available at a later date.

One thing that stood out to me were the lips on Dee. I liked how Oceane made a fuller lip than usual, and I think it looks great even without any lipstick…well maybe just some gloss I can’t stay away from makeup too long ^^

Since the skins are a natural look, you can easily wear makeup with them. Luckily you won’t have to look too far because Oceane has a fantastic line of makeup.

Another Day in the City

Hey guys!  I’m back in New York City SL, and today I think I will explore the residential area. There are some places for rent…perhaps one of you would like to live in the city? I have a few things that I want to talk about in this post that I’m excited about.

First things first – I finally got the Lolas mesh breasts that everyone is talking about now as a belated gift. I absolutely love them ,and no, I won’t be showing any nudes photos – the fashion feeds are filled with them, so go look there I am not sure how they grew to be so popular. I think it’s because mesh = new and exciting, and people started requesting a number of designers to make the appliers to go with the breasts.  With that being said, having these breasts doesn’t automatically mean slutty. People do have naturally larger-than-average breasts in real life, and to me it’s like saying they are sluts because they don’t have a size A cup.

One thing I wanted to do was to find cheap/free clothing to see how my new breasts would look in them.

Bewbapalooza is a sales event that caters to those who have enhanced breasts, namely the Lolas mesh Tango breasts. Pretty Liar has a cute 1L top that I snagged and tried on. Actually, most of the stores participating in the event have a free/cheap/group gift, so if you want to practice applying the clothing layers to your breasts and adjusting, this would be the place to do it. Also, the Hello Titty (lol…I can’t even think that without laughing) hunt is going on now. I did get a dress that I will blog in another post…and after looking at the website I think I will pick up a few more items as well.

Yes, the mesh breasts have seams where your skin starts and the breasts end. But I believe when you get the skins that have the appliers for them, you can minimize them. Also, the bigger you go, you have to pull out the breasts some to make it look right. Likewise, the smaller you go, you can pull the breasts into your chest a bit. For the first few days I felt that my breasts were too high up, so I lowered them a bit to make it look better. All in all, I find the Lolas Tango breasts to be relatively easy to use, and worth the price if it’s in your budget and can see yourself wearing them on at least a semi-regular basis.

The next thing I want to show you is the Ladymana hair from CaTwA. This has got to be the GREATEST hair ever…it comes with its own hoodie! Do you know how much I have wanted to wear a hoodie in SL where I don’t have to make the hoodie super big to fit over my hair? And it got me to wear a pink color…something that I don’t do often. The hoodie hair has a standard HUD with 9 basic colors, the lightest color being a lighter version of the pink that I am wearing. For an additional 250L, you can get the pro HUD that has 40+ colors, plus you can have more than one color (at least that’s what the HUD looks like to me when I look at the standard one…it shows you what you can get with the pro).

Steph II by Alice Project

Hey guys! I am so happy today because I found out this new hair called Steph II by Alice Project. There are 3 colors available at this time.

1. The Streaked Blondes version can be found when you participate in the “Where’s the Concert? II Hunt. In order to get the item, you will have to pick up a ticket HUD at The Village and wear it before you click on the object. At the time I got the hair, they didn’t have any clues. I am not sure if they plan on having any clues – check the website for more details. The hunt runs from November 17th – December 1st, and if you get all of the items registered onto the HUD, you will get the opportunity to attend a special concert featuring Mankind Tracer & Maximillion Kleene.

2 &3.  The Streaked Black and White versions can be found at the Unhinged festival for Eku Zhong. Please read the site for more details – it really is for a good cause. Here is an excerpt from the site about what the festival is about:

“From November 15th through December 15th, we will be running a festival in SL- a festival to celebrate Eku’s titanium spirit. The event is called Unhinged. It will be a great big gacha fair with a skull theme, lots of DJs and super fun party time, in honor of this spirited and sweet person who is such an inspiration.

75% of the proceeds from gacha plays will go to the Eku’s New Bone fund, to help offset the substantial out of pocket cost for this prosthetic. We have a great group of vendors and entertainers lined up, but there is room for lots more, and every contribution helps!”

The festival is a gatcha based one, as was mentioned above. I managed to get the Black/Teal and the Black/White before I stopped myself (yes, I was broke already )
